Habakkuk’s Shigionoth Revival Prayer

Tommy Bates offers a feast of anointed music and praise before delivering this powerful message on Shigionoth prayer, recorded live at Christ Temple Church in Huntington, West Virginia: “I’m Gettin’ Back Up,” “I Went Away to Pray,” and the moving testimony to God’s healing power, “He Sent Forth His Word.”
Beginning with Habakkuk’s Shigionoth prayer, “O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, and in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy,” Pastor Bates offers a fascinating account of nature and power of this style of communication with God. Shigionoth prayer is deeply personal–part music and part narrative, part lament and part praise, sometimes brief and sometimes extended. It rises up spontaneously from the inner depths of people of faith who are in need, or who are perplexed. However such prayer begins, it ends by affirming that God is always in control–in good times and bad–whatever the circumstances.
Listen to this one several times, and learn how to engage in Shigionoth prayer. Your prayer life will flourish as never before, and your faith in the providence of God will deepen and grow more solid.

When I select churches, i look for blood bought, spirit filled and alive and NOT greedy. I want to HEAR GOD calling me in my spirit man. So I love this church and just maybe i might have some mountain man in me, being in the vine with the Saints Of God, huh? And sometimes God puts you somewhere, like a candle to shed light of His Glory.
